Show, Hide, Close WP Comments
This plugin provides three focused comment modes for supported post types:
- Show keeps normal WordPress comment behavior.
- Hide suppresses comment presentation while leaving comments open.
- Close prevents new comments while preserving existing comments.
You can also hide the Comments menu from the WordPress dashboard and admin bar.
Instalim
Here are few steps to follow:
- Upload
disable-wp-commentsfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Select Disable WP Comments from the WordPress menu to open the settings.
- Select the post types to which the comment setting should apply.
- That’s it. You’re ready to go!

Can I restore comments after disabling them?

What is the difference between Hide and Close?

Hide changes comment presentation but leaves comments open. Close prevents new comments while keeping existing comments. Neither mode deletes comments.
