Comment submit time. Spam bots usually submit the info immediately after the page has been loaded, this happens because spam bots don’t actually fill the web form, they just send $_POST data to the blog. The normal visitor sends the data after several seconds or minutes.

This plugin works and can stop lots of spam but the disappointing thing is it just blocks stuff. It doesn’t fix the problem or offer advice on editing registration files/login files, etc. Turn off the plugin and your spam is back. They should make a smarter plugin that tries to offer solutions for getting rid of spam. They have a huge database of spammers so should be able to analyze lots of different types of attacks or show which files spammers are using to spam us with. Please show more detailed info so we can also try to fix stuff.Thanks for you reply but did you read what I wrote here or are you using AI to automate replies? I said this works but doesn’t offer any advice on actually stopping spam. That means you wanna keep the spam but just block it. We need a better service. Not just a blocker. Please use your data to check how people are spamming and offer solutions please.

As well as needing a solution to stop spam and bots creating bogus accounts and orders on my online store, I was also needing some form of email verification. I found that CleanTalk could fill both of these needs and for much cheaper. Now that I have CleanTalk set up on my website, I no longer need Akismet, which was costing me about AUD$150 per year, and, I no longer need the separate plugin for email verification because any bot that tries to open an account gets stopped straight away by Cleantalk. Now that I have WooCommerce set up to automatically send a link to set the password on setting up a new account, it means that I don’t really gain anything by having a separate plugin for email verification and that has saved me quite a bit on my annual expenses for my website. As a startup, that means a lot! Cleantalk has helped me to further minimise the number of plugins needed to run my online store and that is a good thing. It means a faster running website as well as less potential conflicts between plugins that do similar tasks. I thoroughly recommend it and the price is excellent for what it does.
